theGil Posted September 29, 2016 Share Posted September 29, 2016 Been wondering this about the HOB-1 for the longest time! Can't believe no one has ever tried. I know the discontinued HOB-XC was all about having a heater compartment, but I find it hard to believe that one couldn't fit something like a Cobalt Neo-Therm in the HOB-1. I'm SO close to finally buying an HOB-1 (25% off at Marine Depot this month) and finding out for myself! I wish it were available in black like the HOB-XC... Did you happen to find the answer since your post four weeks ago? Link to comment

Of the HOB-1, the reviewer says, "We have aquarium heaters mounted in a few of them, but we coulnt fit anythng too big." So you're telling me there's a chance...
