My (Low Iron) Mr Aqua 12 Gallon Long

My prior tank was an 11.4 Mr Aqua Chic, but I really, really admired the long. Once I knew they were going to stop making them, I had to have one. I went all in, got the low iron glass and decided to add a sand bed as well.

Transferred all my rock corals and Maroon Clownfish over. Torch, Hammer, Ric, Chalice and Green Star Polyps. Bought the Orbit Marine LED as recommended by folks here (it's awesome), got rid of my AC70 and bought a submersible Fluval U2 (also awesome) which I have put floss and carbon in. Flow is 2 Koralia Powerheads, heater is the almighty 50 watt cobalt and finally I have the smart ATO. This tank is dead silent. It has plenty of flow. My clown is much happier. He swims the length of the tank a lot more and is much more active.

I've added a scarlet hermit and a larger halloween hermit.

I also added a Purple DottyBack. My Maroon is so aggressive that this was one of the few fishes that I thought could hang with him. It is very funny to see them interact. The dottyback has barely been in the tank, so he hides behind the filter a lot. But when he comes out, it is funny to see the fish both tentatively check each other out. The Maroon has never once attacked him, but he makes moves towards him. It's funny because it looks like he just wants a friend and the dottyback doesn't trust him yet. Interested in seeing how this works out. Both fish have a lot of character. They are slowly establishing their areas of the tank.
