Spencer8857
Hello,Long time lurker. First time content provider. This has been my project for over 3 years now. I let it get run down. Think about selling it. Then I double down and add something new. Trying to stay on top of things this time around. Would love it full of live thriving coral and fish.Live Stock :2x Percula clown fish1x Bi-colored blenny1x Tiger conch1x Emerald crab (was 2 yesterday, not sure what happened, don't have a good track record with them)1x large trochus2x large turbosCoral1x XL watermelon zoanthid colony1x L Palythoa colony1x Small ricordea (can't seem to find a good home)Several small and one medium discasoma mushrooms1x Galaxia coral frag1x Bird's nest frag (might make another post on this one)2x Green star polyp frags20+ lbs. of live rock w/ sandEquipment:Tank: 20 Gal. SantaMonicaHelp
Your aquarium is amazing.... I'm in awe. I love the Palythoa colony, the Zoa, and the polyps. The aquascape looks so clean. This is such a great tank. I'm now following this thread - C. Smith Link to comment
Spencer8857
Your aquarium is amazing.... I'm in awe. I love the Palythoa colony, the Zoa, and the polyps. The aquascape looks so clean. This is such a great tank. I'm now following this thread - C. Smith Thanks C! The Zoa colony started as a frag. Unfortunately it's the only coral to survive my first attempt at coral growing. The tiger conch and hermits keep that sand bed spotless. Finally found an emerald crab that eats hair algae. It's been a challenge. Now that I understand the relationship between PH and CO2 (large part of plant growth) I think I've got it under control. It was a big reason i bit the bullet and purchased the dosing system. Plus the recent coral feedings have really helped. The Galaxia and green star polyps are only a month old and have already taken hold to the rock and showing new polyps. I'll post more photo's in a couple weeks assuming the growth rate continues. I'll try and stop at the LFS tomorrow for a water test. Post some numbers. Spencer Link to comment
SantaMonicaHelp
Sounds like a you have a good thing going! For me, fragging is perplexing, but I'm certain you must have learned from your experience. A water test seems like a wise idea - C. Smith Link to comment
