Hello,

Long time lurker. First time content provider. This has been my project for over 3 years now. I let it get run down. Think about selling it. Then I double down and add something new. Trying to stay on top of things this time around. Would love it full of live thriving coral and fish.

Live Stock :
2x Percula clown fish
1x Bi-colored blenny
1x Tiger conch
1x Emerald crab (was 2 yesterday, not sure what happened, don't have a good track record with them)
1x large trochus
2x large turbos

Coral
1x XL watermelon zoanthid colony
1x L Palythoa colony
1x Small ricordea (can't seem to find a good home)
Several small and one medium discasoma mushrooms
1x Galaxia coral frag
1x Bird's nest frag (might make another post on this one)
2x Green star polyp frags
20+ lbs. of live rock w/ sand

Equipment:
Tank: 20 Gal. All Glass aquarium
Skimmer:Reef Octopus hang on the back
Refugium: Finnex Hang on the back w/ Sicce pump and Finnex LED light
Heater: Aqueon 100W
Filter: Fluval 206 canister filter w/ sea chem seagel
Light: Maxspect R420R 120W LED lighting system. Wide beam lenses currently installed.
Auto top-off: Hydor automatic top off system w/ Sicce pump
Makeup water: Bulk Reef Supply (BRS) 6 stage universal plus RO/DI system. DI system not currently used. Makeup water typically between 2 and 3 ppm TDS.
Dosing: Jebao DP-4 w/ Marinecolor storage containers (new))

Food:
San Francisco Bay brand mysis
San Francisco Bay brand marine cuisine
Coral Frenzy (just started this, time will tell)

Supplements:
Aquavitro eight.four
Aquavitro calcification
Aquavitro ions
Aquavitro vibrance

Water Chemistry (8/31/16):

Alk: 10 dKH

Mg: 1350-1400

Ca: 460-470 ppm

Nitrate: Low 3-5 ppm

Phosphate: .03-0.1

Water chemistry is still stabilizing with the addition of the dosing pumps. Without them I'd seem to always forget or procrastinate. No more of that with the latest upgrade. Let me know your thoughts. I can post better photos of anything specific.

Spencer

Your aquarium is amazing.... I'm in awe. I love the Palythoa colony, the Zoa, and the polyps. The aquascape looks so clean. This is such a great tank.

I'm now following this thread :)

Thanks C! The Zoa colony started as a frag. Unfortunately it's the only coral to survive my first attempt at coral growing. The tiger conch and hermits keep that sand bed spotless. Finally found an emerald crab that eats hair algae. It's been a challenge. Now that I understand the relationship between PH and CO2 (large part of plant growth) I think I've got it under control. It was a big reason i bit the bullet and purchased the dosing system. Plus the recent coral feedings have really helped. The Galaxia and green star polyps are only a month old and have already taken hold to the rock and showing new polyps. I'll post more photo's in a couple weeks assuming the growth rate continues. I'll try and stop at the LFS tomorrow for a water test. Post some numbers.

Sounds like a you have a good thing going! For me, fragging is perplexing, but I'm certain you must have learned from your experience. A water test seems like a wise idea :)
