Hey Guys,

Looking at my first purchase for my tank system and wanted to get the pros opinion on RODI units.

What is a good number for TDS in the supply water what should I be looking for. Thanks for the help.

0 TDS is the goal, and I would go with something effective and affordable like the BRS 4 Stage RO/DI Setup for $149.99. I've used a similar unit for years and by replacing the filters periodically, I can main 0-1 TDS. You can get replacement filters from them too here.

Spectra pure seems popular here, although where I am they are not competitive price wise or easy to obtain so I went with.

And added a DI to it as I already had a canister for DI.

Works for my needs. Gets the water from 60-70 to 0 no issue.

Thanks Guys for the help. What's a good storage tank as I'm looking at a bigger tank and need a good bit of water to do water changes.

LOL i just asked the community this in this thread

http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/375737-rodi-units/

and i just purchased this unit

seemed to be the consensus. Im really excited for it

It came down to BRS and spectrapure for me. What won me over is the cartridge quality that everyone kept talking about

I like that bundle! Full system + replacement kit + TDS meter for $143.99, that's a good deal. Bookmarked it for future recommendations :).

I agree with this. I have the same one. Just ordered my replacement filters earlier this week and got them already. I really like it and my fish seem to like the quality of the RODI water produced lol. It isn't expensive and it is a great filter that comes with everything you need including all of the adapters to connect it to any faucet or hose.

How many gallons of water do you want to store? If you have the room, food safe Brute trash cans are a popular choice.

I've seen those. Just enough to handle weekly water changes on a 45 gallon tank. Those should work right?
