vision
i dip everything with two little fishies revive. check this video out, it's very informative about dipping and keeping pests out of your tank. Link to comment
Water Dog
I use Bayer Advanced Complete insecticide. Then I do a thorough rinse in three different cups of saltwater thereafter before placing the frag in my tank. You can dip all corals... not sure about nems but I wouldn't. I wouldn't dip live rock either. Link to comment
masterbuilder
Bayer. Everything else I have tried is hard on corals. With Bayer I have never noticed any negative response for even the most sensitive corals. Kills bugs dead. p.s. nice part...tank has been full for corals for months and months...so...dipping is over until next tank. Link to comment
Clown79
I use coral fx and dip every coral I purchase. It can also be used for other purposes too. If there is live rock or a plug attached to the coral, I dip it with the coral if its of small size. Liverock on its own, never dipped. Not sure about nems, I have never owned one nor will but I would research that before dipping them. Link to comment
ifarmer
I have been using bayer to dip the corals. No negative to corals. Great product and cheap. My tank was affected with acro eating flatworm and was using Bayer to dip the corals weekly for 15 weeks. All gone after 15 weeks. With Bayer, you really have to rinse out really well otherwise any residual will kill your crab and shrimps. Link to comment
GunslingerGirl
I use revive too. It's safe and easy. Also have used coral fx, which I preferred but I have trouble finding it sometimes so I am just using up the revive. Link to comment
Tamberav
+1 Bayer for SPS I use Lugals for zoa's and LPS. Really perks them up even if they don't have bugs. Link to comment
squamptonbc
Coral fx simply because it was the only product the store had at the time. Seems to work though, haven't seen any issues with it. I rarely buy Coral so I have only used it 3 times and all softies. Link to comment

rsucre
The only Bayer Advance that I can find locally are: "Rose and Flower": Actives: 0.0015% β-Cyfluthrin; 0.012% Imidacloprid(Ready-to-use); 0.0125% β-Cyfluthrin; 0.025% Imidacloprid (Continuous Spray)and "12 Month Tree & Shrub Insect Control Landscape Formula II" Active: 2.94% ImidaclopridI know that the one that most people use is called Complete Insect Killer, but can't find it here. Can't mail order either because I'm overseas and customs will not allow it. Do you think I can use either of those? Link to comment
squamptonbc
If not in the US don't be surprised if you cannot locate it. Its not readily available in Canada either, there is a grey market but usually someone has gone to the US to get it and then sells it here, stores don't carry it. rsucre
Squamptonbc, but I can find Bayer Advanced in the two variations that I posted. I think that the active ingredient that we are looking for is the Imidacloprid. Maybe the one called Tree & Shrub will fit the purpose? Link to comment
