I must say it lasted longer than I thought it would. Just got the frame for the stand built, going to skin it this weekend and get to finishing it. Just going to run a hob filter for now as I ease back into the hobby. The stand will be built though for a sump incase I decide to do that. Will post more pics this weekend. Also need to finish painting the room lol. 20160814_181539_zps1ufm5ugw.jpg

Got some work done on the stand. Well built a whole new frame because the 1x4s I originally used were pretty warped so I opted for select pine and 3/4" ply. I'm digging the way it's coming along. Made a neat little electrical compartment, and I'm not ruling out the use of a sump in the near future, it'll be a little sump but ohwell. More to come soon. 20160821_192122_zps4iabeltw.jpg 20160821_192141_zpsvdipc2uu.jpg

I just need to finish the bastard and keep it for awhile. I'm still not sure if I should drill it for a sump right from the start or wait until income tax year when I can upgrade to something with the same dimensions but rimless.

Not as of yet. Really only get to work on it on the weeks. Need to get the trim on the stand done then paint. Also need to build the sump so I can plumb the tank.

Trying to figure out what I want to use for intank flow. I have a feeling an mp10 will be the best option. I've also thought about a gyre but I feel it'd just blow water out of the tank.

They are small,i dont think theyll take up much room at all homestly. I have one in my 7 gallon and it doesnt take up all that much room. The SW-2's are supposedly a lot smaller, about the size of a golf ball i read online. I habe a 500mA power supply and can run it full speed and the dial turned half way and its enough flow.

I think they'll be fine. Unless its packed with sps, which you said lps and zoo's. Maybe put 2 on one side ? Or put one on the left side panel on the back and the right side panel on the front half.

Doing a few things to the stand today. Finishing closing off the electrical area and add the trim pieces. It's really starting to coming together nicely and should look great when it's painted. 20160924_160337_zps3eigfoms.jpg 20160924_160443_zpszak40zhp.jpg
