Toady question

I was recently given a small green toadstool and am wondering about their requirements. I know they tend to be pretty hardy but I'm concerned about their lighting and flow requirements. I have a 1 year old 14g Biocube with a standard first chamber, modified center chamber running floss over reticulated foam over 3 ceramic balls in a home-made eggcrate frame, and an upgraded MJ900 pump. Lighting is stock right now, although I am going to upgrade to a Hydra 26 when the resources allow. I placed it low on my rock, wedged into a hole as the base was attached to a tiny piece of rock. 25% weekly water changes. Anyone have any recommendations as to where the toadstool should be placed for now? It's been in the tank for 24 hrs and when I got home tonite the tendrils had extended on half of it. That seems like a good sign. I'd post a pic but I can't get it below 2.26 MB and with a 1MB limit it won't post.

Livestock:
3 Trochus
a few Dwarf Ceriths
1 Florida Cerith
2 Red-legged Hermits
2 Blue-legged hermits
2 Peppermint Shrimp (one's pregnant)
2 Firefish
2 Ocellaris
1 Armageddon Paly clump, small but spreading rapidly
1 small Radioactive Dragon's Eye zoa clump

1 small Dragon's Eye/Watermelon zoa clump

and a small clump of Watermelon/Radioactive Dragon's Eye mix

My toadstool seems to like high light and medium to high flow. It never extended as much when I had it at the bottom of my tank.
