Water Changes Can Be Fun

There is something about doing the weekly water change and seeing that the water coming out of the tank is nearly as clear and blue as the water going in.

Of course bucket number two from vacuuming the substrate brings you back down to earth

So anyone else doing their H20 swap today?

Nope, and don't plan on it for a while. The only water changes I do are as close to 100% as I can every few months or so, and that's only if something drastic like that needs to be done. :)

Doing one today... calcium is above 500 (unreadable on the nyos kit) and I have no idea wtf happened. So I'll be doing a water change to see if I can get things down. Doesn't seem to be affecting anything... my digi has less polyp extension though.

I especially love spitting salty aquarium water into the bucket when timing gets off.

That is why I got one of those squeeze ball siphons.

I'm still using my three foot 1/2 vinyl tube from home depot when I was poor as hell... guess it's time to invest in a real vacuum lmao

Best feature of the M40 is the water drain hose, never made water changing so easy, and no accidental saltwater in the mouth, now if only they could have put that feature on the freshwater versions.....
