Jruberti
I have blisters on my hands after fastening the vinyl tubing over my return pump barb fittings and after I placed everything in place, I noticed that the vinyl tubing seems to be crimping and I actually had more tubing than I needed. Here is a picture of what I'm talking about. Do I need to shorten the return line tubing or will it be ok once it's pushing water? Link to comment

Tamberav
I wouldn't leave it like that. Just use a blow dryer or hold it over a hot stove to heat up the vinyl and it will expand/become soft and be easier to get on the pump. Link to comment
Jruberti
I put it in a cup of hot water. Should I try braided vinyl instead of regular vinyl? Link to comment
Sancho
Look for black vinyl with a thicker OD. You can find it online. Most of the black stuff sold at the Home Depot is to thin. Link to comment
AZDesertRat
You need to use either the heavy wall or braided reinforced vinyl tubing that do not kink. For the ends, boil some water and stick the end of the tube in the hot water to soften and expand it before slipping it over the barb. Link to comment
