iceman211
I've been looking at LED info for days and still have some specific questions. I've set up my first tank (10g) and I've planned it around lots of zoas and other neon colored softies (maybe even some leathers and lps but it's not at the top of my list). Mostly stuff that seems to explode with color under blue lights. I understand that the blue spectrum is only for our own viewing pleasure, but are there any fixtures that you've seen with a really good blue spectrum that's less than $120? I see some amazing things with Nanoboxes, primes, etc. but that's just really outside my price range. I see galaxy (black box) leds pushed a lot but do they really cover blue that well? Horerczy
Blue is a major part of photosynthesis. The black boxes have half their leds blue so they do good. Link to comment
vegasgundog
As above, I've seen lots about how blue is actually the biggest part about photosynthesis. I know in the bc once I turned the whites down to around 18 percent and the blues closers to 40, all my coral problems went away. Link to comment
