I'm new to reefing so not sure which coral this is. From searching it looks like a cyphaestrea. If it is do I have to target feed these guys? Link to comment
Elizabeth94 Posted August 1, 2016 Share Posted August 1, 2016 Can't make out what is in the first picture. The second one does look like a mushroom, maybe a rhodactis? Mushrooms don't need to be target fed at all. They live off of light and fishy poop/nutrients in water. Link to comment

For the cyphastrea, I'd feed small pellets or other tiny frozen food (small enough to easily be grabbed by those bright-colored mouths). Rhodactis vary in their feeding response, but I'd try feeding it anyway. Again, pellets or small enough frozen food. Make sure you turn the water flow down/off so they have time to latch on!
