Blasto. I say healthy..... if you had just recently handled it and its flesh is a bit retracted. After a few days it should be nice and puffy....probably about twice its current size. Nice piece. Kitmel
This is the photo of the Blasto 6 days later and it is still not doing too well. Is there anything I can do to save it? I have moved it to the bottom and further away from the lighting. My water parameters are as below Ammonia - 0 NO2 - 0 NO3 - 10 PO4 - 0.25 Kh - 9.3 Salinity - 1.023 Thanks it advance. Link to comment

Dylan.N
How long have you had it? Did it look like that when you got it? Link to comment
jack1978
hi jack, thanks for the reply yes it is now in a low flow spot but previously it was attached to a liverock with moderate flow will try feeding it with mysis I'd leave it alone for a few days....try a piece or two of mysis on each mouth. If it doesn't start to puff up more after a couple days, you can try a dip in Coral Revive, then place it back in that same low flow, low light spot. Still looks like it'll pull through. BulkRate
It's clearly not happy with life, but since the tissue isn't shredding/peeling off the skeleton en masse there's a reasonable hope of it pulling through. Blastomussa are pretty hardy all things considered - I almost killed my whole collection repeatedly in a series of idiot-induced alk swings about a year ago & all but one grew back. I'd try moving it to a spot with moderate flow (off the sand, BTW) if it hasn't been showing signs of improvement for the past week in the current location. Also, make sure the frag's base is stable & not rocking back and forth in the current. Link to comment
Kitmel
How long have you had it? Did it look like that when you got it? I have it for just a week. I have posted a photo at the start of this thread and that was how it looked when I got it. Link to comment
