Rpc07
I moved my acans to the sand bed instead of on the center rock with the zoas and glued them to a flat rock so they wouldn't be directly on the sand bed. This was 4-5 days ago and they haven't fully opened since then but they are accepting food. I don't think it has anything to do with light since they are only a few inches from where they were. Is it possible they are to close to the hammer coral? Link to comment
ReefSafeSolutions
Nah they're not too close to the hammer...my guess, they're still a little upset from being handled. They don't look unhealthy to me, just a little cranky. Give them a few more days and see if they start looking better. Did you happen to touch the flesh? Every time I move my acans in my Dad's tank, I can never just touch the skeleton Link to comment

ReefSafeSolutions
Yeah even if your skin didn't touch the flesh, "something" touched it, so they are likely just a little annoyed. Keep an eye on them, but I wouldn't worry too much. Especially since the rest of the tank seems to look OK from the pictures. Link to comment

Dylan.N
Looks good. Corals are finicky. I never think twice about it unless they look pissed off for more than 5 days straight. Link to comment

I was coming close to the 5th day. Only thing that kept me going was they were accepting food the entire time. Link to comment
ReefSafeSolutions
They look great! I have some that have similar colors...under an AI Nano, the reds actually turned into this funky orange and the blueish white stripes started turning green. I dropped them under my dad's full spectrum light and the colors returned to normal within a day. Pretty interesting little corals! Link to comment
vegasgundog
I've found that acans can get grumpy. Took me awhile to get my leds down right i had them to high and imo they don't like low alk. Link to comment
