cruiZe
Picked up this little buddy Tuesday night, have him in QT bucket now. He's got a red spot, google found similar on other sites that suggested internal bleeding which isn't great. I dosed some melafix for him in the QT cuz that's the only med I have.. I know the LFS just got him that same day also so that's a lot of stress. He didn't eat pellets (they're big for him) But he is eating coral frenzy and seems active so far. other suggested treatments? He was laying down in the picture, most of his body is flat against the floor Link to comment
Tamberav
A tupperware with fine-ish grain sand will help with stress. If the LFS had a larger grain sand like crushed coral, its possible he injured himself diving in. Link to comment

cruiZe
Update! Red spot Yellow Coris died on the 2nd day. I think it had internal bleeding- sorry for the graphic pic.. but here it is. LFS warrantied the fish 100%. NEW FISH. Yellow Coris and a blenny (maybe Linear Blenny? but he's darker.. LFS said tailspot, which isn't correct. ) that I've yet to identify have been in QT for 12 days and have been eating every single day. "Yellow" as I call him is possibly going stir crazy in the bucket. He keeps bobbing his head out of the water. Here is a pic of his face sticking out and a short video of my QT bucket with the pump off. http://vid242.photobucket.com/albums/ff231/elcamino383/Mobile%20Uploads/trim.A401265F-E102-483B-99FE-D5A716311915.mp4 <<<< 25 second VIDEO of his face out of the water Here is an old thread of another members yellow coris doing the same thing. http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/346342-strange-yellow-coris-wrasse-behavior/ I also read a thread on RC, and R2R so obviously it's a thing. How long should I keep them in QT ? Saturday will be 2 weeks Link to comment
cruiZe
He looks nuts- face out of the water like a little motor boat. Tips? Link to comment
Tamberav
They are active fish, he is probably just being annoyed by the small space in the QT. They are hardy though so he should be fine for the short term QT duration. Be sure to keep an eye on ammonia. A 20g Long is a good investment next petco 1$ per gallon day for QT active fish. I would QT a minimum of 4 weeks. He looks nuts- face out of the water like a little motor boat. Tips? Link to comment

I raised the water level in the bucket by 3-4" that'll give him a little more swimming room. Link to comment
