two steps forward and three steps back

So I use about a teaspoon of ammonia to cycle my tank. Well that ammonia had surfactant or detergent in it.

while using it I was still filtering my tank with carbon and filter floss.

I just did two water changes. One almost 80 percent of my tanks water.

I changed the filter. I added new filter floss, and alot of activated carbon in between.

I also added a little bit of actual pure ammonia to keep the cycle going.

My plan is to let the tank filter through for 24 hours than change the filters. but omit the carbon. So I would than only have filter floss.

and contenue the cycle.

Once my cycle is complete I will do one more water change.

Does any one think that I might still run the risk of endangering my fish?

I feel like this was enough action to fix my mistake.

What are some thought community?

I think it will be fine now after the big WC - I don't think we need 3 threads about this! It will be ok. Glad you realized early.

I just wanted to get a broad response. No harm intended, Thanks for your reply.
