Fishgirl2393
Hello all. My reef tank has been plagued with this "stuff" for a while now. I have done all sorts of things. Treated with ChemiClean, 3-day blackout, increased water changes, decreased water changes, added phosphate remover, added carbon, increased protein skimming, reduced lights, spot-treated with peroxide (outside the tank), etc. It won't go away. I recently removed my substrate because it seemed to be making matters worse. The "stuff" is better now, but still not gone. It forms a slime that is brownish-yellow. Not many (if any) air bubbles trapped but really fast growing. Any suggestions? The pictures are (supposedly) at 200x (the reason I say supposedly is because this microscope is really not good). Where I work has a good microscope and I may take a sample of this mess in a few days to get a better look but these are all I have currently. What is it? Link to comment

Fishgirl2393
That is through the tiny microscope lens with an iPhone! Like I said, I'm going to try to get better microscope pics. These were under a very basic Tasco scope (and those scopes are terrible!) Link to comment
