Sean.G
So I noticed a few weeks ago this weird little thing living near the overflow, it is mostly out of the water but the very bottom is submerged. No clue how long its been there and I hadn't added anything to the tank for weeks before I noticed it. I have never seen it out of the one spot. Tried poking it with a pair of tongs and it didn't really react. It did move because of the flash from the camera. Link to comment

Mariaface
Oyster thing!! Leave it alone; it's a nice little filter feeder, and trying to remove it by force may damage its foot. If it's happy there, it's all good. Well, unless you just don't want to see it there? Mine all took shelter underneath the rocks; I had three or four on my original Gulf Live Rock pieces that have made it a couple of years at this point. Hopefully there were more in this latest shipment... Link to comment
Sean.G
Okay, I thought it looked like a clam type thing but it reacted to light and just looked kind of weird so I wan't sure. I wonder how it got there could it have grown from a larva stage up there or would it have been bigger and somehow moved up to that spot? Link to comment
