Narzyzz_12
Do you guys think 3 12in truLumen LED pro strips will be enough to keep some softies in a 20gL? Link to comment
michaelrzachmann
http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/345564-mikes-first-reef-tank-sold-2916/ check out my thread. I ran two and then three strips for a while and it worked pretty well before i switched to no hood on my biocube with a kessil. Shouldnt be too hard to find where i only used the strips up until. Hope experience helps more than just my word. good luck! Link to comment
CronicReefer
I used them for a while with LPS and they worked great. I still use two truelumen 36" blue LED strips on my current tank with my T5s Link to comment
MainelyReefer
Just getting a set-up started using 6 truelumen as the lights. I got the controller for free and it was brand new so I bought the lights to go with it. I have 3 marine mix and 3 blue actinic, they are suspended over the tank 7-8 inches in a custom hood I built for my Innovative marine nuvo 10 should be a few months until I get a definitive answer on the corals but so far they are promising. Are you planning on using the controller or just plug the lights in? Link to comment

If you plan on doing T5s I would only recommend getting a 2-bulb fixture. I use aquaticlife but I got mine for 50% off. brand new with bulbs so that is the main reason I purchased it but it still has great quality reflectors IMO. If your looking for some really cheap but great quality T5s a brand called Sunblaster is something I would recommend. They come as single bulb T5 fixtures with a built in ballast and extremely high quality reflector. You would need to replace the manufacturer bulbs with ATI bulbs. You can also connect up to 8 of them together or run them on separate timers to create different daytime intensities. You wouldn't really need any LED strips if you plan to go with T5s though, unless you want the blue color pop that LEDs create. http://www.zenhydro.com/sunblaster-nanotech-t5-ho-21-2-ft-1-lamp-w-nanotech-reflector-24-cs.html?utm_source=google_shopping&gclid=CjwKEAjw5cG8BRDQj_CNh9nwxTUSJAAHdX3fNUywTmkJlvRkLacvKi05HX55bs2Mw6Oti-tjQHNfFBoCMjrw_wcB Link to comment
