How to adjust/reduce ozone output for smaller tank?

I've downsized to a much smaller tank and the only ozone generators I can find have a minimum output of around 50 mg/hr which is too much for my size tank. I am planning to run the unit on a timer or steady dosage (if possible), so it won't be under the control of an ORP controller. Is there a way to adjust the output of say a 50 mg/hr unit down to a much lower output? Maybe by extending the 'on' intervals for the timer? Any suggestions?

You're asking in a forum that probably has 0 people that use ozone in their <40 gallon tanks.

We handle out dissolved solids with water changes. Our ammonia and nitrites with biological filtration and less feedings.

You'd be better off asking in a forum that focuses on larger aquariums, even though you have a smaller tank
