Any BTA suggestions?

I'm at a loss. Got a BTA about a month ago and put him in my IM Fusion 30L with pretty pristine water and 4 bulb T5 lighting. After about a week of him not looking great, thought it may be high flow level in the tank so I moved him to my BC14 with better lighting and less flow. At first he seemed better but moved under a rock and stayed there. I've tried feeding him several times and he hasn't seemed interested. I moved him back to the IM today and shut down the powerheads feeling that is his best chance.

I did not see them remove him from the display tank at the LFS as I was looking at other coral when they did it, so I wonder if his foot was damaged. I'm really at my wit's end with this thing. Any suggestions?

is his mouth wide open or closed? Inflated or deflated? Also were his tentacles sticky when you tried feeding him?

Sounds like it could be your lighting is too bright compared to the store. Anemones must be acclimated to brighter lighting like corals. I keep my BTA under about 150 PAR with lots of indirect flow.

If the tank is young, it could be the parameters aren't as stable as one would hope. However, you gave him a week, moved him, then at some point moved him back. I'm not sure he has had time to adjust to anything. It seems like a wild ride... LFS > IM30 > BC14 > IM30.

What sort of lighting did the LFS have him under?

thats true, took one of my BTAs nearly two weeks to finally come out and soak up his new environment, moving them is the fastest way to kill them IMO, also parameters as mentioned, in my 10 gallon tank with an HOB filter my BTA didn't farewell and eventually it died but since changing to a sumped system I've noticed the BTAs I have are constantly happy which I assume goes along with the stable water params that go along with the water volume

The LFS had him under some serious LEDS. I worried the I wasn't getting him enough light, but he's not reaching for what is there. The BC would have had lights comparable to the LFS. I don't think it is the lights. The IM 30L is six months old an the BC is 7years old. That water stays a little dirtier for my softies and other corals that don't do well in pristine. He actually looks a tad bit more normal this evening. Maybe he'll adjust and find him a home.

even with moderate lighting and supplemental feeding it should be fine
