jshev
What do you think? too much for a small tank? or good Im thinking about taking the rock out and chipping at it. Am I too late? or should I do that? I really like the way it is set up. Lots of holes for the fish to swim through, but I want to grow a lot of coral. So can someone with good experience with growing coral tell me if I have started off with too much rock. It about 8 lbs or rock in my 10 g tank. Link to comment
seabass
I don't think it's too much rock. But it's really all personal preference. However, you want to have enough room to clean the glass (this also helps with water flow). Sometimes I'll take a chisel and hammer to break/shape a piece of rock that doesn't fit right, or is just too large. Link to comment
squamptonbc
If you can get good water flow around the rock structure, rest really boils down to what you like. I generally hammer apart the large prices into small pieces and then use epoxy to hold it all together. I find doing it that way easier then trying to fuss with 1 or 2 large pieces. Link to comment
Clown79
I like it. I do the same. I actually siliconed my rocks to eggcrate and then together. Link to comment
jshev
Ok, I broke off a little part of the bottom rock so I had better clearance around my glass. I thinks its all set. Thanks for the reply's. Link to comment
Hammerstone
I really like it. The fish have a little pace that they can swim through!! My only thought though is on the bottom right you are going to have a hard time cleaning by that piece. Just something to think about. ? I really like it. fishfreak0114
I dont see it. Have you tried going through photobucket? It's an image hosting site that you upload your photo to, and then you copy and paste the URL here. You can pate the URL straight into your post. They have an app too Link to comment

But yes, it's usually easier to just post your pics to a image hosting site, and link it from there. Link to comment

Clown79
Very nice! Fyi- when doing water changes, try putting a towel on that nice shelving unit, the salt can damage surfaces. Link to comment
jshev
is it too late to remove rock and try to break some off? I am looking at pictures of other tanks and starting to think it might be a little too much. I want to grow coral. Link to comment
seabass
Nope, not too late at all. However, I think most people are never fully satisfied with their aquascapes. Link to comment
