Can coralline grow without being seeded?

If you have completely dry rock then no. Once you add any type of frag or live rock you are seeding it unknowingly.

Yep, brought in from somewhere but always there. You said what I meant! :D

I started with all dry rock and dry sand. After about 6 weeks of cycling I added a cuc. A month later, coralline. I have mostly green and brown coralline with some purple but it's on my rock, my glass, my powerhead, the intake tube on my HOB...

Don't force it. It will come. Whether you want it or not

Not without being seeded - but almost anything sessile that's added to the tank will have some coralline. Corals on plugs, some snail shells (especially snails out during the day), etc.

As said it will needed to be seeded if using dry rock. But assuming your not fish only, and have some corals, or snails or hermit crabs, they are likely to have it on their shells.

If you find a local person with some in their tank, you can get some shavings from them to seed, doesn't take much, even a snail with some on their shell is enough, just time and presto its everywhere.

Nope.

You need to introduce it to the tank.

Normally it comes on Liverock, frag plugs, snail shells, or shavings
