You can buy sink adapters for any RODI, the main thing will be the size/type of faucet you have to ensure it connects.

I used one of these before

I still had to go to the hardware store and buy parts to make it fit on the sink. I brought the RODI faucet adapter and the part that screws off the sink with me so I could find the right sizes.

Any RO or RO/DI can be used portable with a faucet adapter. I would not waste money on the little cobbled up RO buddy's and similar systems as they really aren't any smaller, do not come with reefers preferred micron range filters, cost more to replace since they are not standard 10" size, do not last as long and are harder to find. There are very good vendors with reef quality RO/DI systems for less than $150 such as Spectrapure, Buckeye Hydro and Purelyh2o.

+ Spectrapure. They have a system that comes with a set of replacement filters, handheld TDS meter and tap adapter. Can't beat that.

I've got mine hooked up to the kitchen faucet with this adapter.

I use a Puratek RO 3 stage that I added a DI stage to.

I also used Aqua FX in the past and it also worked without issue.

OP: I think your in Canada? I have not ordered from them as they are back east and shipping takes too long and I prefer to support west coast companies, but reef supplies does sell Spectra Pure, they start at 174 CAD for a basic unit with no DI.

Awesome!

Thank you all. Ro/di systems really intimidate me. My dads a plumber so any issues he could help.

My main concern is getting it hooked up. I would only want it for my tanks- can't stand the taste of ro/di or distilled. Lol.

I figure the cost of RO water in a yr pays for a system.

You don't drink the RO/DI you install a tee and check valve before the DI and drink RO only water. Pass RO through a GAC carbon and it tastes awesome, been drinking it for about 25 years now and it makes clear ice cubes too.

If you are looking at a Bulk Reef Supply setup I believe they come with a few different sink attachments, mine did anyway.

Not one of my preferred vendors but you can try AquaSafe Canada. I find their systems to be pretty low end, more ebay quality but you don't have as many choices as we do. I believe there are vendors who sell Spectrapure prooducts in Canada, you might call Spectrapure and get a list of their Canadian vendors.

What exactly do you use for the GAC carbon? RO by itself is nasty but if I could find a way to make or taste good....

All the vendors sell inline GAC carbon taste and odor filters. Just like you put on a refrigerator water/ice maker line.
