PaulP1002
I recently picked up some live rock and there looks to be some coral (purple, green in the middle), can anyone help identify if it is coral and what kind? I found this other creature wondering around, it looks like some kind of snail. Link to comment
patback
I'm assuming this is rock from Florida or caribean. Coral is a "moon coral" a member of favidae family. Snail is actually a limpet. Link to comment
Mariaface
A cute limpet! Look out for what it's eating, though. Link to comment

Thank you. The rock did come from Florida. A cute limpet! Look out for what it's eating, though. Thank you Maria. What should I be looking out for? I don't have much in my tank as of yet. Thank you both for your quick responses and expertise. Link to comment

Yours looks like the good algae eating type however but a better pic from the stop and side could further clear that. They are good clean up crew members. Link to comment
