squamptonbc
Just curious what TDS you all have out of the tap. I've been living in low TDS ville for so long, I am out of touch with what other area's have. Most days I get 57-60ppm from the tap. Depending on month the city's reports show as low as 52ppm and as high of 88ppm with the highest readings in Jan and Sept and lowest in May I can generally get 1ppm product water. Link to comment

AZDesertRat
550-850+ depending on the sources, blends and treatment methods at the time, it can vary greatly over a day or two's time. Link to comment
FrostbyteNano
I live in Houston Texas where our water is liquid rock. Most often it is around 450-500, but I have a friend who has measured his tap water at 1200. They say it has to do with the source of our water and the natural mineral deposits in the ground... yeah, cause chlorine and boron, etc are just sitting there waiting to jump into the water treatment plant right? Han Solo
Isn't anything over 500 in the US not acceptable by the FDA? Contact your local government. TDS here is like 30-40. Good well near this area apparently. Link to comment
patback
60-80 out of my old copper pipes. Link to comment
AZDesertRat
There is no EPA Maximum contaminant level for TDS. TDS is considered asthetic and not a health risk since it is not a measurement of anything specific. If the MCL were actually 500 most of the Southwest would be without drinking water. So would I. Our tap water is terrible. The funny thing is, today I did tap water test just for fun. Tap water - Temp - 72 degrees - TDS - 472 Tap water through britta filter - TDS - 340 - kept changing between 337 and 342 Water out of RO/DI unit - TDS 2 +1 for RO/DI!! Link to comment

squamptonbc
You guys to the west always seem to have low TDS, don't think we would ever see it that low at the eastern end of the Fraser Valley, but its still fairly low. Ours hovers 8-11 TDS, just outside of Vancouver Canada. Link to comment
