providence
Been on site for quite some time. Had a successful nano for years just never documented it. We've moved around and now we're stable again. Decided to track my progress of the small nano I've set up downstairs. Tank: IM Lagoon 25 Stand: Gave DIY a try Light: Nanobox Duo Plus Flow: Stock pump Powerhead: MP 10 QD Filtration: InTank baskets w/Chemipure Elite & Purigen Skimmer: None. Yet. Heater: Cobalt Neotherm ATO: Smart ATO micro -- At this time, tank will be barebottom. Never tried it, never liked dealing with sand. -- Planning mixed reef. Lot of room for corals to grow into with the dimensions of this tank. -- Not certain on fish. Really enjoy Blackhawk Clownfish and would love to get one or a pair. Progress so far: Sorry for the photos, light playing tricks on the camera. Will try to get the hang of it. Cable management a work and progress until I'm all set on equipment. Six weeks into getting it wet, just threw a few small frags in to see how they do. Link to comment

providence
joined in 2011 with a post count of 4? AWESOME tank! very nice build, can't wait to see this progress. Thanks. Don't worry, none were memorable. Just followed along for ideas on what I was doing. Looking back on it, I wish I would have documented the progression so that's why I decided to do it this time. Looks great! Where in Minnesota are you? Thank you. Prior Lake, MN. Great looking build...nice and clean. Like the scape too. Thanks. Played around with the scape for a while. The gal and I were looking for something minimal with overhangs for fish to wrap around and to avoid tunnels/caves. Also wanted plenty of area for coral to grow into and open space on the bottom for more options that I haven't been able to fit in the past. Patience ran out and this was the end result. mystersyster
Beautiful stand. I'm about to downgrade from my 40 breeder to the same tank. Will be using your stand as inspiration for my own Link to comment
hinnenkm
Awesome, it's a drive for you, but go check out New Wave up in Plymouth - fantastic store!! Link to comment
FlowerMama
Beautiful stand you've made! Nice rockwork and the formation on the right looks like a space ship from Star Wars. Link to comment
Rural
something i've wondered: that power bar, did you make it and is it surge protected? nice set up. super sharp. the bare bottoms accentuate the coral i feel, but make the "reel reef" look harder to achieve. there is a certain antiseptic hospital type feel to the bare bottoms for me, but i like them when done well. providence
Beautiful stand. I'm about to downgrade from my 40 breeder to the same tank. Will be using your stand as inspiration for my own Thanks. Did a lot of searching online and shamelessly picked aspects I wanted/was capable of achieving. It ain't a perfect but ultimately it's a stand and will be looking inside the glass box. As they say, good enough for the girls I go out with. Awesome, it's a drive for you, but go check out New Wave up in Plymouth - fantastic store!! Was in there today (took a half day from work). Love their acro colonies. Will be getting most of my stuff from them and Saltwater Empire. Beautiful stand you've made! Nice rockwork and the formation on the right looks like a space ship from Star Wars. Ha! Thanks. something i've wondered: that power bar, did you make it and is it surge protected? nice set up. super sharp. the bare bottoms accentuate the coral i feel, but make the "reel reef" look harder to achieve. there is a certain antiseptic hospital type feel to the bare bottoms for me, but i like them when done well. It's an ADJ power bar. Made for DJ's I believe. Used them in the past and like the ease of control to each outlet. I have a gfci and made a shield/box to protect from water from the leftover acrylic for the door inserts. Not fool proof in a massive failure I'm sure, but not much is. Feel the same about bare bottom tanks. You can't beat the look of pristine sand in my view. Plus, BB limits my already small fish choice in a tank this size. But keeping the sand looking great has never worked out for me so I wanted to try my hand. Link to comment
providence
First fish added, seemingly unaware that the tank is larger than the top corner. Blackhawk Picasso Chicago White Will get some better pictures when I can. Link to comment

providence
yes! Well done on the Blackhawks. Beauties for sure!! Did you see that New Wave is having a special.... spend $50 get a free Rock Flower nem on Sat?!? The first time we saw the Blackhawk we knew we'd have to get at least one. Adding another would have been a bit cost prohibitive given the amount of corals I plan on adding. The second clown was between the Chicago White and a Buckshot. White won out and they look good together, IMO. I did get the email of their sale. I got 20% off the fish today so that was nice. Wish I could get in there Saturday but we have plans with friends at Tattersall Distillery Saturday so I'm guessing that won't be happening. Great deal none the less. I would like to line one of rocks leading down to the bottom of the tank with rock flowers, though. I already have one started with zoas and plan to do another with rics. Link to comment
North Borders
Jealous that you're so close to Saltwater Empire up in the Cities Was just there this last weekend looking at stuffs! Love the stand you build by the way! That semi-sunken look is really neat! Link to comment
providence
Update?? Sort of forgot about the site and focused on my cycling during the good months... Not much to report. Going slow coral wise given dry rock/barebottom. Few things in there to test how they do prior to the spendy stuff added. Perams staying constant. Chicago White clown found his way through the side of my screen top somehow a few weeks after I had him. Buckshot clown added shortly after. Ruby Longfin Fairy Wrasse has been a nice addition. Flashes often but can never catch him on photos. Still awful with photos catching accurate colors. Still loving the Nanobox. Link to comment
FlowerMama
Oh I forgot this one was substrateless. Is that a word, well, is now! Can't wait to see how this unfolds as you add corals to your rock structure. Will be fun. Link to comment
