ReeferBrian
I'm getting closer to adding my first fish in my "wife's" 14gallon coralife biocube and am thinking of putting in 3 fish at the most but more than likely only two or,um,3lol. I have a10 gallon ive had up for 8 months and have one clownfish and one yellow watchman goby so I'm wanting something different, but I don't know what we want? We've already limited ourselves by not wanting clowns or damsels .open to any and all ideas and these fish will more than likely going to be added one at a time with more aggressive choices added after the other/others.feel free to give your input on what you would suggest. SideCar_Falcon619
I've been watching a ton of YouTube videos, and I'm seeing a lot of people get away with 4 in the 14g. I think 4 is fine as long as there are compatible and you really keep up on your water quality. As for fish not in those categories that you mentioned, I really like the banggai cardinals. They aren't super active swimmers but they school and they are really pretty IMO Keep in mind the videos with 4 fishes in a 14g are usually seasoned vets lol Link to comment
Newstead
A matched pair of banggai cardinals and a firefish would look great. Link to comment

Plus they aren't big swimmers so I think they would be fine in a small tank. I hear they can get big tho... But very slowly. Link to comment
Clown79
I don't advise more than 1 or possibly 2 very small fish in a 10g. Yes you can have more but unless you will be doing 2-3 waterchanges a week, the nutrient levels will be really hard to keep controlled. I have a 10g I had 2 fish originally, both ended up with ich and dead. now I have 1 fish. My nitrates and algae are hard to control and I'm religious with my maintenance and feed very little. I think a firefish would be a great addition. Beautiful fish with a great personality Link to comment

Clown79
The best way to treat ich- quarentibe everything for a mnth proor to adding it to your display tank. The only way to eradicate ich from a dt is going fishless for 8 weeks. Link to comment
