tarunteam
Can it? My reasoning is isn't sea salt just dried salt water? Doesn't that make our salt good as if not better then store brand "sea salt"? Link to comment

Tamberav
Still alive D: Jkjk. Decided was prob bad idea. lol reef salt has all sorts of extra chemical crap in it to keep it from caking together and minerals probably in much larger quantities than sea salt, ect. Def not the same thing. Just try mixing up a batch of salt water for your tank with sea salt.... no srs don't do that either.... no deaths today pls. Link to comment

Well I mean.. they don't sprinkle died reef salt on their egg omelets in the morn! i think if you make up a batch in the tub and take a dip, you will be fine. Can't say I haven't had tank water in my mouth ... damn siphon hose... but that is diluted in gallons of water and I don't think the fish are swallowing glasses full Plus ykno.. those mysterious fish deaths... who knows the cause... they always finding new things that cause cancer or health issues just in our own food products. Clown79
No dumb questions- its dumb not asking questions. No one learns that way. I wouldn't advise ingesting reef salts because of the additives in it. There are binding agents in the salt amongst other chemicals. Its not advised to drink sea water- actually its very dangerous to our health and thats natural salt water. Link to comment
