Accidentally dipped feather duster! Help!

So, I got some new corals and a feather duster...I had never dipped before, and I was trying some "revive" that was recommended to me for corals. I put my corals in the bucket with the feather duster to acclimate, and I put the revive in before taking the duster out. So dumb. I wasn't even thinking. Anyway, when I realized, I took it out and put it in the tank and it lost its feather head a few mins later. He hasn't come out of the tube yet though. So, did I completely murder my duster, or will he come back to life and grow a new head? Now, this stringy slime is coming out of it and getting everywhere. I don't know if I should wait and see what happens, or just take it out of the tank asap. Thanks

Common for them to cast their crowns when stressed. Like stated above, if he lives, he'll grow another one.

Don't really worry. By the time you buy a couple more frags, you'll have a ton of more feather dusters. They're literally the one thing that everyone in this hobby has.

He hasn't come out of his tube so I assume he survived? I saw the tiniest little one stuck on my trumpet coral, but I the dip killed it off. Lol I just didn't want to leave the big one in there if he was dead in his tube.

Well, coral dip is used to kill worms and pests - so it may not make it. However, I did have one of my big Hawaiian dusters drop its crown after I had it a year and it grew back. Leave the tube in. They take up to two weeks or more to grow the grown. If you have nassarius snails in your tank and you see them swarming the tube or something, that's probably not a good sign.

I've got some nassarius snails and 2 blue leg hermits. They haven't gone near it as of yet. :-) hopefully he'll make it. I wonder how it eats without a feather head? I sprayed a little "reef roid" crap towards the front of the tube just to see, I don't know. Lol
