I want one so bad =[ Just horrified from all the horror stories I have seen. I don't think it's a good idea in an SPS/Clam tank.

Crawling into powerheads (yes I know I can get foam). Stinging other corals, crawling into overflows, crawling under rocks. I would be mortified if it killed my clam.

Had one of my birdsnest drop and a limb went into one of my rbta. Got home and saw it and was freaking. Luckily no damage. Some crawl but try to get a tank split. Have had poor luck with ocean nems. Tank splits seem to be calmer.

I put mine on a rock and it never moved (had them almost 2 yrs now), it did split though, yay, now I have 2 and when I moved the rock down to the rubble bed, they didn't move either love it there...and....

Guess what? I was walking by the tank last night just before bed, the moon lights were on and my tank was completely clouded up!!! Freaked me at first but then I noticed the RBTAs were both emitting clouds of sperm! Yes, pumpin the stuff out every couple seconds. Couldn't believe how cloudy it made the tank! Fascinating! This morning it is crystal, so I guess the filter took care of most of it.

Does this mean I will see RBTA babies soon???

Possible, but unlikely. Getting corals and nems to spawn is easier than getting their babies to survive and grow, though. I think nearly all them perish because of lack of food. Our tanks don't have the diversity of micro-organism they feed on at the larval stage.
