Rpc07
I'm getting to the point that my weekly water changes are not keeping up with demand so I'm starting to dose. I'm using 2 part to bring my numbers up and kalk in my ato to maintain. Tank is a Red Sea E170 (45 gallons) with mixed frags of zoas, lps, and sps My numbers are Ph 8.0-8.2 Cal 380 Alk 9.5 Should I continue to dose 2 part equally to bring up calcium? I don't want alk to sky rocket. And the kalk I'm using is low concentrate for now at 1/2 teaspoon per gallon. Any help is appreciated. Link to comment
seabass
Once you start dosing, you need to monitor and dose magnesium. Don't worry so much about balancing calcium and alkalinity. The goal is stability and keeping the parameters at a proper level. Here's a decent video on dosing: Link to comment
