haleigho
So I bought two leather corals and they haven't opened since I brought them home. It's been about a week. They look like they're shedding. My water parameters are perfect, I run a kessil, and Eshopps skimmer. Help ? http://i68.tinypic.com/vgmzaf.jpg Link to comment
FlowerMama
Shedding is a normal part of its every day life. As they grow they shed the old skin. Keep flow on it as normal. They need flow to help remove it. Once it's done it'll open up again. Link to comment
Clown79
Leathers are fussy. They don't like change. Most often when added to the tank they stay closed up for days till they are accustomed to the new environment. Leathers also close up and then shed on a normal basis. If this occurs weekly-every two weeks, the leather isn't receiving enough flow to remove detritus from itself. Link to comment
Matteo
it took mine a month to be happy. Now it is always open and starting to take shape Link to comment
