Is this Dino

Hello. Ive been battling this gooey snot that has bubbles in my reef for a while. After sucking it up it grows like stringy grass. It can be scraped off with a tooth rush or hard pvx tube. Pics:

 

 

 

 

 

 

Just wanted to confirm is the dinos before i do a 3 day blackout of the tank. When ive turened off the lights for couple days and had ambient light and didnt do water changes and did syphone them out into fliter socks it did recede mostly. But then keeps coming back.

 

Ps any tips on how to do the blackout and if its a good idea. Scared the fish will starve for 3 days : (

I wish i could just take my rocks out, unfortununfortunatly i apoxyed the whole structure together. Plus corals are all glued or apoxied to the rocks...

 

All parama are normal and not sure why im getting these things.

 

Ps they are only mostly on the top top portion of the rocks beneath the light. Running lights 8 hours a day. T5 4 bulbs....

Really can't say. Most Dino breakouts are brownish. Don't worry about the fish to much. They can go without food for up to a week.

Thank you! This helped as i think i may have calothrix instead of dinos. Already started a 4 day blackout with peroxide dosing. Hopefully it helps.
