Azomite, Fulvic acid, Liquid Kelp as potential additives

Hi All,

We often hear about limited trace elements in our systems and solutions like trace additives / miracle mud have all had their time in the spotlight. I'm curious if products like

Azomite: http://www.azomite.com/may provide some benefits. It has been shown to significantly benefit crop production, but I am unsure of how it will act on an aquarium. Cited as containing 70+ trace elements I'd imaging it might be an easy way to cover our bases. However, the fact that it's mined in utah leaves some common sense questions about its viability in promoting growth of coral/fish/algae.

Fulvic Acid: https://www.supremefulvic.com/documents/pdf/1.what.is.fulvic.acid.pdf It seems that the addition of fulvic acid could have a large impact on the uptake of dissolved organic compounds. Since our tanks are chock full of them...it may have an effect. Whether that effect is good or bad... well - I'm less sure. I've used fulvic acid in hydroponic plant sysems and have noted a significant increase in growth.

Liquid Kelp extract: well for those of us running ULNS, the addition of diluted kelp could be interesting.

Finally, in foliar applications a 5:1 mix of fulvic acid to liquid kelp applied together has been shown to be significantly more effective than using just one or the other. I'm curious if the two might be used in tandem to really give coral / macro algae a boost. Combine this with amino acids and an increase in Alk+CA supply and you may see some serious growth.

All said - this may be a recipe for a monster algae outbreak. Just some shower thoughts that I'm looking to take a little further.
