ClownfishReefer
Hi i have two options for a 6 bulb combo, what do you all think is best? A) B+ B+ C+ C+ P+ B+ B ) B+ B+ B+ C+ P+ B+ B+ Link to comment
jedimasterben
The second will have a much more blue tone. When you order your lamps, buy one extra Coral Plus (or their Giesemann equivalent, the Aquablue Coral) and try both combinations, making sure to run each for 100 hours so you can see the true colors of the lamp after brun-in. jedimasterben
Both would be very similar. You can find a thread I made a while back comparing ATI and Giesemann that had radiometric readings converted to total PAR. Link to comment

masterbuilder
#2 but separate them with a B+ so not right next to each other. I tried the 4 B+ and 2 C+ and in my tank and the colors look slightly washed out to my eye but some others like that combo. We all perceive colors differently. Link to comment

I was thinking of running an actinic with my purple + on my hybrid and turn the whites up on the V3 arrays. Not sure though, I like the crisp white of the coral + Link to comment

I thought I heard that ati actinics had lots of par but just looked dim to the naked eye! I don't mind because my naked eyes don't get plenty of action these days anyways! Link to comment

gulfsurfer101
It is currently the only ati bulb I don't have! I'm thinking of only running 4bulbs atm till my lighting demands grow over my 75g then I'll fire all 6. I'm thinking of starting with b+ c+ p+ b+ or B+ abs p+ b+ along with a diy rb led stunner strip! Eventually I'll figure in the other two bulbs but most likely either b+ or actinics. Link to comment
