Squid3121
Hello I have this green algae that sprouted up quickly in my reef tank. Not sure what type of algae it is and why it happened so fast. I keep the tank at 79F it's just over 2 months old now and has been doing well. The CUC hasn't seemed to touch the green algae. I have dosed the tank a few times with caribsea purple up hoping for Coraline to flourish, and I have seen it on the shells of my turbos and some that looks new on the hermits. What type is the green stuff it looks nice for now lol Link to comment
ReefWeeds
Looks like green coralline to me - but hard to tell from the pictures. It grows fast and is generally followed by purple if that's what it is. Link to comment
ndrobey
Caribsea Purple Up creates green coralline first, then the purple grows on the green. That's what you've got going on. Link to comment
