OH NOES!!!

so woke up this morning to my beloved clown with what looks like ich:

looks like my spotted gobies are suffering from it too.

I've done a ton of research today and there is a lot of back and forth as to whether shrimp/snails/crabs/corals will maintain the ICH parasite without vertebrates present.

I'm going to leave work in a few hours and run and pick up a QT and treat with copper.

Questions: what do i do about the coral banded shrimp, the decorator crab, and the zoanthus/softies in the infested tank?? just leave them in there while the vertebrates are in QT and hope the ich life cycle dies??

How many weeks should i wait? Anything i should take out of the filter in the infected tank? anything i should have special for filtration for the QT tank?

Thanks everyone!

Don't use anything in the infected tank, just leave it fishless for ten weeks or more.

For the quarantine: Don't use anything that's touched the main tank. At all. Dose bacteria if you have to, dose Prime to detoxify ammonia if you have to, do frequent large water changes if you have to. But if you want to completely get rid of the parasite, don't introduce anything from the old tank before the old tank's ten week fallow period is up. And medicate thoroughly. Pay attention to the medicine's instructions, because you likely won't be able to use carbon or other chemical filtration.
