shaner014
Title says it, what do you think this is? Microscope to verify is incoming. I can get the DSLR out if these don't do it justice (just phone pics with all white light) I know there's some "regular" red cyano in there. It is extremely photosensitive, my RO/DI is LFS bought (may have slight TDS?, but is a reputable shop), Params are all in the normal range. shaner014
Looks like diatoms to me. Would you drop $60 bones on a scope to be sure? I can still cancel the Amazon order. If it's diatoms I'm not gonna do anything except lighten my feeding hand, and wait. Dino's scares me though since obviously their ferocity and TX approach is vastly different. Link to comment
jedimasterben
Well, with dinos, there really isn't much in the way of treatment. You can kinda kill them back with a big UV sterilizer, but even that only goes so far and has its own drawbacks. If you want an ID, you can just siphon some out and ship it to me and I'll take a look at it. Link to comment

Mr. Microscope
Probably diatoms. With dinos there's usually air bubbles that accompany them. Link to comment
