FTS - 05/30/2016

Greetings. I've been in this wonderful hobby since 2002 (with a few breaks) and decided it was time to bring my Biocube 14 out of retirement. Nano-reef.com has always been my go-to forum, ever since I started downsizing my tanks around 2008. While other forums certainly have their benefits, there's no better place to share reef-keeping knowledge as it pertains to our miniature versions.

I added a few corals, so I've updated my FTS, stock list, and added some additional pics..

I REALLY need to get a gel/macro filter for my iPhone. Either that or bite the bullet and purchase a proper camera. It's amazing how blue pics come out when the white balance is that far out there.

I figured I'd add a few recent pics. My iPhone photography still sucks and I need to get a gel filter and macro lens. I did find an app called "iPhone filters" that actually does a decent job at cleaning up some of the white balance issues caused by LEDs though. Granted, you still see the overwhelming blue in the pics, but the corals themselves are actually displaying their actual colors now.

Was going through some old pics and found one of the last time I had my Biocube setup. This was a few months after Hurricane Sandy completely wiped me out. My current build is shaping up to outdo this one by quite a bit, but it's always nice taking a trip down memory lane.

I honestly can't say enough good things about Prodibio products. I use their entire system on my reef and my levels are better than ever, while remaining incredibly consistent. The only non-Prodibio product I was dosing was my 2 part calc/alk. Recently, I ditched that and switched over to their Calci-Reef+ and Alka-Reef+ products (calc/alk/magnesium) and I noticed the difference in quality almost immediately.

My corals are very happy, colorful, and extended. Everything just seems very much in balance. Granted, proper maintenance and husbandry are also part of the equation, but Prodibio definitely has a big part in this as well. I feel that systems like Prodibio and Zeovit aren't super popular because there are much cheaper alternatives out there, but they really are very high quality. Just figured I'd share my experience in case anyone was on the fence about giving their line a shot.
