Nixperience
I really love scooter blennies, but I don't want to be irresponsible. I was looking for opinions of how big of a fuge could grow enough of a pod population to support one. I can get away with a 6 gallon fuge and only have clownfish, so I don't have anything that feeds on pods. Looking for some expert opinions and success stories. Thanks. Link to comment
Newstead
I may have a couple of wierdos, but my 4 yr old clowns eat pods - didn't even realize it until they were moved to a hospital tank and the pods exploded in my biocube. I did add a target mandarin a month ago - but he was eating frozen at the LFS. Jimi and the clowns are doing fine together, I feed him frozen (mysis, LRS reef frenzy) 2x day. I have added pods twice in the last month and there are enough for him to pick at in between feedings. If you can find one that will take frozen grab it! Jimi actually pecks at the feeding tube as if to say hurry it up. He has gained noticeable weight in just a month. Link to comment
Nixperience
Ah good to know. Thanks. I was thinking about one of the ORA red scooters. Link to comment
Matteo
Ah good to know. Thanks. I was thinking about one of the ORA red scooters. The red scooters are super super cool. But I agree that finding one already eating frozen is the way to go. I have a 20g fuge loaded with rock and macro and can see pods on the glass but if I ever got a scooter or dragonet I probably would add pods monthly just to be sure. That's just me though Link to comment

That's just me though this is my plan, I want to introduce a green mandarin and will dose pods weekly in the fuge and DT lol Link to comment
SquishyFishy
My new fin baby...already trained to eat frozen mysis and he was only $39.99 at the Austin LFS, I couldn't resist, I have plenty pods too, He is so cute! Link to comment
Nixperience
I scrapped the plan to get a scooter. I think I'll either get a lawnmower or starry blenny. Just as cool and easier to care for. Link to comment
BulkRate
SquishyFishy - may just be the low-rez picture, but as Aerosmith put it, that dude looks like a lady! Kudos if so... been trying to source one to pair with my ruby male, but they're rare as hens teeth here. Link to comment
