This quarter has been NanoBox's best yet. With the proven success of the NanoBox line up and amazing customer base NanoBox continues to grow each month. I can not thank you guys enough for all the feedback, help and support.

The new "wide Quad" is currently being machined but the first few are will be in the wild this week. A forum member on here and a store in Florida. Pictured below are three using the new NanoBox connectors making it a total length of 36". This unit is an absolute beast.

This past week I went on a road trip to Florida. Living Color hired myself and glass blowing artist Robert DeGrunier ( he did the Statue of Liberty flame and countless other amazing projects ) to create a art inspired tank. I can not show pictures yet but the tank will be a work of art. Imagine hidden lights inside glass work and multiple angles of light. I can not wait to show you guys! To top it off it is for a possible TV show so we filmed part of the pilot.

While we were in Orlando we checked out World Wide Corals and I can not say enough about Victor and Lou. They gave us a full behind the scenes tour and I was blown away. I have never seen more colorful and healthy corals in my life. There theory is simple. A ton of flow, extra blue light, 6-8 heavy feedings and stable parameters. It was incredible. Showing Robert some of the best corals you can see only sparked new ideas.

RAP Orlando was an absolute success. I really like how they are promoting the events along with how the choose who can come. The lack of obvious chop shops was a pleasant change of things. The RAP crew is really going above and beyond and it shows. Here are a few photos I snapped.

I am also working on new colors for the NanoBox lineup. I am working on having all units anodized besides white. They really look sexy.

I will be offering fixed mounting arms for both the Tide and Duo. I really like how these look with the new units and just look perfect with the 90 degree angles of tanks.

Crafted Series.

I am working with local artists, knife makers and other amazing people to create true one off units. Every unit will be completely different and be a work of art.

The first Crafted Series is shown below.

  • Anodized red body.

  • Red screws for both fan and splash guard.

  • Stainless lid screw

  • Stainless steel etched lid in custom pattern. Made by http://workerman.storenvy.com/

  • $425

Awesome pics and awesome new lights. That wide quad is a beast...

Also like the idea of the craft series - obviously you've gotten some pretty good feedback from various threads you've created but this is another level of bad ass entirely.

Good luck with the continued growth.

Legendary Corals

Awesome recap Dave! We decided not to go last minute due to some things we had to take care of. Seems like we missed out a bunch... Will definitely be there next year.

Thank you Kat and thanks for the support. Multiple people at RAP mentioned you and your success with NanoBox.

Good luck with the new lights Dave and cheers to your success. You've come a long way baby. :D

It was fun but you tolls and traffic suck! :D

Shout out to Florida!

Thanks Gabe. I really enjoy doing what I do but also be a true hobbyist.

Dave, congrats on all the success and thanks for being such a good member of the community.

Thank you Ryan. Seeing photos of tanks like yours keep me grinning!

Awesome to see you doing so well

Thanks bud. Finding a quality anodizer is tuff. I have now found a good relationship with a local company and really happy. I have to use connectors so the units can be modular. ;)

The new anodizing looks really good Dave. Now learn how to TIG weld those wide quads and you will be golden!

Thanks Harry.

That wide quad is awesome! Badass!

More to come. :ninja: I just put money on a CNC router table too.

It was a great show. The RAP team really has it down. Hope to see you guys soon. Lets get that Tide rolling!

Congratulations Dave! You have an amazing product line. I met you years ago back in the days of sea-t and bought a couple of frags from you. I remember looking at your lights back then and knew it they were going to be a success. I can't wait to upgrade to a mini tide.

speaking of champions... have you thought of licensed collegiate anodized housings or top plates to expand the lineup? it isnt artsy by any means, but may move some units? the top plate seems more logical as it is more so in the "just because" or "random gift for dad" range imo.

Roll Tide.

The Anodizing looks awesome Dave! And you should be able to get some nice candy colors done too! I had my drums anodized Candy Blue.

RAP was so awesome. I looked for your booth when I went Sunday, but I couldn't find it :(. I figured you may have headed back by then.

No booth, just sent a light with Reefbuilders. I was in stealth mode ;)
