10 gallon halfmoon reef tank

Hello everyone!! I'm new the marine life. I'm interested in starting a nano reef tank. I've been doing research on it but can't decide on the best lighting for a halfmoon tank. I will have some corals in there eventually. I'm looking to have an Ocellaris clownfish, royal gramma 2 Scarlet skunk shrimp and maybe a hermit crab or snail. Far as corals, looking at frogspawn, zoanthids and some pulsing corals. What I'm in need of knowing is what type of filter I should get, lighting, skimmer, do I need a power head, etc. I would really appreciate if someone can guide me in the right direction. Right now all I have is the Tetra 10 gallon halfmoon tank

I think it might be hard to find a skimmer for that tank. No worries though, you can just perform larger weekly water changes to make up for it. The little internal filter that comes with it should be fine (you'll need a small powerhead if you stay with that filter).

I'm not sure how hang on back filters might fit on that tank; but if they do, you can ditch the internal filter. If you get a filter with enough flow (at least 200gph), you wouldn't need a powerhead).

I'd probably look at a PAR38 LED reef bulb for lighting. Here, read about how others have set up that tank: http://www.nano-reef.com/index.php?app=googlecse#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=Tetra 10 half moon And welcome to N-R.com.
