Laybackk
Hello all, Finally got my new Innovative Marine NUVO 20. Equipment: IM Nuvo 20 Stock filter socks 100 watt heater Cobalt MJ1200 pump MP 10w Lighting: AquaMaxx NemoLight 24-36 Inch 36 watt Plans: I plan to put a decent amount of rock in this tank and will be updating with the layout. Mostly going to do soft corals (zoas, LPS, and GSP). Clownfish pair and other small fishes as well. Some pics for the beginning: And here's the leakage and pump test. No leaks, but pump is a little loud. Hoping to replace with the MJ1200. This weekend will bring most of the preliminary stuff (water, sand, and rock). Then the cycle begins! I'm open to all opinions and tips and tricks to help me through this process. Thanks all and enjoy. Link to comment

DocReef
New heater and thermometer arrived today! Any tips on best locations for the heater? I've heard best location is in the return pump compartment. I don't think it matters where you put it. I have mine in the return pump compartment since I have a makeshift refugium in the second compartment, but perviously had the heater there. Link to comment
Laybackk
New update! Got the tank filled with sand, water, and some rock. Here's some formation pics before my final layout: And here's the final layout so far, with a little more rock coming soon: Ignore the fact that I'm in my undies... lol Half natural sea water and half mixed salt water. Dry purple rock. Carib-sea Fiji Pink live sand... with 1/3 the bag left over lol. Will be adding the MP10 soon. Link to comment
