boshk
Saw a few videos on youtube and a few forum posts regarding Damselfish and how much of a pain they are in DT. Are they that 'incompatible' in a small-ish tank 45G? I do see it bullying the small YWG when it swims up to mid-upper areas of the tank (but then my goby is a bit....funny) It has a go at my black clownfish but the clown is pretty aggressive and stands his ground Future plans: Firefish Orange clown Purple strip dottyback Maybe Tail spot blenny or Diamond goby Link to comment
Clown79
Damsels are know to be aggressive and it gets worse in smaller tanks, theres less territory. Learned my lesson in 1 tank- i won't have a damsel again. Dottybacks can be aggressive as well. The firefish is a passive fish(skittish really) and may not do to well with the aggressive fish like damsel and dottyback. It does well with clowns. Try liveaqauaria.com, they have a compatability chart. I find it very helpful. Link to comment
Clown79
Oh yes the Tail spot blenny is so cute. Unfortunately the one I had seemed very shy and hid all the time, not sure if this is common. I had a bicolor blenny that wasn't shy, tons of personality, it was an awesome little fish. I preferred it to the tail spot but thats my experience. Clowns are great, so are ywg! Purple firefish are really beautiful fish and so underated. Link to comment
JSVAND5
The yellow tails are pretty calm. I always have one in all of my tanks. Link to comment
SunWyrm
+1 depends on which yellowtail. Chrysiptera parasema are fantastic little fish. Link to comment
