Calibrating refractometer

Ok, its my first time calibrating my sybon and I'm confused not because of how to do it but the way the instructions are written.lol.

 

My confusion is with the ultrapure water provided do I calibrate it to zero then test my salt water?

Yep, if that's what they provided to calibrate it. However, there is also calibrating fluid that is close to NSW levels; calibrating it to that may even be more accurate (depending on the accuracy of the calibration fluid).

I originally thought it came with the calibration fluid and then realized it was water. I will get the fluid:)
