Fairy with 6 line?

So, my 6 Line wrasse (nebula) lol has been in my tank for about 3 months now and he is a fat and healthy fish but is a little more on the aggressive side :( my boss just brought in a gorgeous juvenile filamented fairy wrasse and I really want him! Nebula has been ok with everyone but was RELENTLESS on a pair of maldive clowns that I had, after moving my 2.5 year old percula from my 14 to the 32 reef, he seemed to chill out but I have heard that it's either a hit or miss with other wrasses... any of you guys keep 6 lines with other wrasses? There are only 2 fish in the tank so there is no worry about swimming space, plus the fact that the flasher is very small helps too :P any suggestions are much appreciated!

From what I've read, the 6 line usually bullies any new additions. Most say to leave them as the last fish to add. If you are adding him to a 14g tank, I'm going to bet the flasher will get bullied to death. I personally wouldn't take the risk on a fish like that knowing the odds are against me.

If you are truly set on getting the flasher, you could try an acclimation box and see if that works. You can also rearrange the tank before releasing the flasher to confuse the 6 line and reestablish territories. Still, don't be surprised if the 6 line beats up the flasher in the end. All of the Pseudocheilinus species are well known for their territorial nature.

Sounds like the wrasse has already shown aggressive tenancies and it is probably an inevitable death sentence for the fairy. Sixlines can be fine and just snap one day. I would just get rid of the 6 line if you want the fairy.

The sixline will eventually kill the Fairy, not if but when and usually related to the maturity of the sixline. Even in my 150 gallon certain fish cannot be added because the sixline will seek them out and harass them to death. Remember as fish mature they tend to get more territorial.
