lehaneya
Hello I'm new to the sps game and got a birdsnest 1 week ago. I am seeing some polyp extention towards the top however near the bottom it I see no extention at all. Here is the pic. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5xoeGEbJXzdRmFCWkNib3pmTTA/view?usp=docslist_api Is it normal for little to no extention to lower part of coral? As you can see the lower part is somewhat shaded by the rest of the coral so I assume this is why less extention in those areas. Link to comment

jestep
Honestly, it's looking really stressed to me. How close was the flow and lighting color and intensity from the original tank to yours? These coral are the absolute worst at adapting to a new tank IMO, lighting especially. There was an advanced aquarist article a few years ago that stated some take more than a year to adapt to conditions in a new tank. They also tend to RTN extremely quickly when they finally start to go. Link to comment
