Rpc07
Just trying to get everything in order. When I go from my biocube to the reefer 170 should i start with 100% new water or use what's in my tank and fill in the rest with new water? My main reason for asking is I'm fighting cyano at the moment and i would like to use as much new water as I can but not at the risk of live stock. And if I can get away with 100% new water should I just acclimate the live stock and corals to the new tank? Link to comment
Elizabeth94
You should be fine with all new water that tested at the same parameters as your other tank. Temp and Salinity would be most important in my opinion (maybe even alk). So get everything heated up and ready to go before you transfer the live rock and corals over. Thats how I would do it, but I am sure there are people on here who would just use the old water. Just make sure temp is good and salinity matches with your old tank water. Should be just fine Link to comment
