bcarrillos
About 2 weeks ago a got 2 clown fish from my lfs. The fish were all doing great, next to my 3 blue-green chromis. Last week i came in and found one of my blue-green chromis dead. I took him out, and didn't look much into it. Yesterday. i come into my office again and I see my clown fish had white stuff all over, I run to the lfs and they tell me to treat the fish with PraziPro. When I come back from the lfs my fish is already dead. Today when i came in, i found one of my blue-green chromis dead. Whats going on?! All of my parameters are good. Link to comment

Jcon_343
You need to QT those fish and treat them. What else is in your tank? Link to comment
Laybackk
They have a parasite on them and you need to medicate. Remove them and treat them, unless your tank can handle the treatment altogether, you can just dose the whole tank. Link to comment

They are all frags. They have a parasite on them and you need to medicate. Remove them and treat them, unless your tank can handle the treatment altogether, you can just dose the whole tank. Do you know anything about PraziPro? I tried taking the fish out earlier, and I couldnt catch them Link to comment
Laybackk
Haven't been in the hobby for a while and just got back in. Not sure what to dose for Ick anymore.. but I do know that a way to avoid this in the future would be to thoroughly inspect a fish before purchasing it from your LFS. Also inspect other fish in the same tank and make sure they are also not infected. That will be your best bet to not bring home another infected fish. Link to comment
