Perched Urchin Posted March 24, 2016 Share Posted March 24, 2016 I believe you would want to add more than one. They do well in groups versus pairs. Maybe add 2-3 more. And they are hermaphroditic, so the most dominant will become the male. If you have a group the dominance can be established without one being bullied to death by the other one - the aggression can be dispersed. Link to comment

They frequently have a low survival rate and if you have a male, they can be aggressive toward the females, you want multiple females to split the aggression. My friend has a single female lyretail and it's the bully of his tank. Link to comment
